3rd Year Neonatal Fellows

Dr. Clare Batty
Dr. Clare Batty is currently a second year fellow in the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Louisville. She completed her bachelor of science in public health and Spanish at Santa Clara University. She completed a clinical pastoral education internship and worked a hospital chaplain in her home state of New Mexico before attending medical school at the University of New Mexico. She pursued pediatric residency training at the University of Louisville. Clare enjoys exploring the foodie scene in Louisville, playing tennis and pickleball, and watching movies with her partner, Max.

Dr. Kaitlyn Newton
Dr. Kaitlyn Newton is currently a second year fellow in the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Louisville. She attended the University of Kentucky for her undergraduate degree and medical school training. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Louisville. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, being outdoors, and cooking.

Dr. Divya Ramdas
Dr. Divya Ramdas is currently a third-year fellow in the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Louisville. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in psychology at Johns Hopkins University. She then participated in Teach for America in Kansas City. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and went on to get a master’s degree in public health at the University of Texas Health School of Public Health. She completed her pediatric residency training at Texas Tech University in El Paso. She enjoys spending time with her wife, Andrea, and her cat, Theo and her dog, Zuri. She enjoys traveling when she has free time! She loves cooking, baking, and watching sports.

Dr. Allison Marks
Dr. Meredith Barrientez is currently a second-year fellow in the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Louisville. She attended medical school at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency training at St. Louis University and was a Chief Resident for the pediatric residency program. Dr. Barrientez is pursuing a master’s degree in Healthcare Ethics and has an interest in neonatal palliative care. She enjoys being with her husband and two boys. She loves to read (fantasy, fiction), watch the Food Network, and all things Disney.
Dr. Kirtan "KB" Brahmbhatt is currently a second-year fellow in the Neonatal-Perinatal program at the University of Louisville. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry and Genetics as well as obtaining his medical degree at Texas A&M University. He went on to complete his pediatric residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso, TX. He enjoys spending time with his partner, KatieBeth (also KB), and their pup, Finan, reading history, playing the Highland bagpipes, and painting mini figurines.
Dr. Allison Marks is currently a second-year fellow in the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Louisville. She attended the University of Louisville for her undergraduate degree and medical school training. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Louisville. She enjoys spending time with her family, my husband, and our Labrador (Libby) on our family farm. I enjoy reading (my library is full of Nicholas Sparks, fantasy, and historical fiction), my favorite artist is Celine Dion and I’m obsessed with all things Disney.

Dr. Ryan Morales is a first-year fellow in the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Louisville. He completed his Bachelors degree in Biosystems Engineering at the University of Kentucky. He attended medical school at the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. He enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also a Pediatrician, playing with his dogs, being outdoors, and cooking.
